When you’re on the model team, you get to do all the fun stuff!
The #mlhseniorrolemodels continued the Life Well Lived series with a fitness class led by me! I developed this class exclusively for my team so that I could educate them on how to foster a healthy body beyond high school. Often times when we leave home for college we become very overwhelmed with the newfound independence. We are juggling a lot and learning so many new things. One of the first things we begin to neglect (along with sleep) is taking care of our bodies. We are at the mercy of the college meal plan and never ending soft serve ice cream. Because we are still young we can sometimes manage through. But without a doubt in our later lives our bodies start to feel it. Big time.
The fitness class taught the girls about hydration, exercising properly, and stretching. Three important components to a healthy body. I taught the girls all of my exercise secrets that will benefit them specifically for college, but that can carry them into graduate life and beyond.
There is no telling what I was talking about below, however I do believe in giving hugs!
You know it’s going to be a good time when the music starts, our feet start moving, and laughter ensues!

The girls came prepared with a yoga mat, a light set of weights ( or none at all ), and lots of H2O!
The moment I realize that I am the only one dead on the ground after the workout!! LOL.
I want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Lauren Hinson from Dance Fusion Studioin Harrisburg. She graciously provided us with her studio to use as our workout space. It couldn’t have been a better spot to get our fitness on!
